The lists of Best Residential Real Estate Agents and Best Mortgage Professionals in Dallas are produced in partnership with Crescendo Business Services, an independent research firm. Crescendo mailed nomination ballots to 17,000 area residents who had recently purchased a home and 250 mortgage and title companies. Recipients were asked to nominate only mortgage broker professionals and real estate agents whom they know through personal experience and to evaluate them in several categories, including overall satisfaction and whether they would recommend them to a friend. Crescendo scored and screened each nominee with the Texas Real Estate Commission database to make certain that licenses were up to date and there had been no disciplinary action. The Best Real Estate Agents list was reviewed by a panel of local industry experts. The resulting lists represent slightly less than 3 percent of mortgage professionals and slightly less than 2 percent of licensed real estate agents in the Dallas area.
